reactions of alcohols sheet
task 3 writing balanced equations for the reactions of alcohols im not sure what needs to go in the eqn just the alcohol itself and the product or alcohol the (conc H2SO4 and the K2Cr2O7 as well the product) ??

Easter Revision - Biology and Chemistry
In answer to Lois' post and in case any of the rest of you weren't sure, here are the times of the Biology and Chemistry revision sessions:
Year 12 Chemistry - Thursday, 3rd April (1.30 - 3.00pm) OR 9.30 - 11.00am instead if that works?
Year 12 Biology - Thursday, 3rd April (1.30 - 3.oopm)
Year 13 Chemistry - Wednesday, 2nd April (11.15am - 12.45pm)
Please don't ask me why Mr Sudbery has seen fit to put Year 12 Biology and Chemistry on at the same time. Maths is at 11.15 - 12.00, also on Thursday so we can't put an extra session then, but are there are any takers for 9.30 - 11.00 on Thursday? I'll just need to check that I'm not expected anywhere else at that time.

Ellectrophilic addition
If any one knows the answer....
When, for example Bromine, approaches the ethene molecule, the bromine becomes polarised and the electrons are pushed back. Does this mean it makes an istantaneous dipole?
I was just writing notes and made the link... is that right?

Miisssss
I would expect that you may not read this until tomorrow but lets hope... basically i think I was going down the wrong road when writing my conclusion, which is why I am lacking in a completed one. I understand the enthalpy decreases as the length of the hydrocarbon increases, and at first I thought "they have weaker intermolucular forces"
Am I right, an If so why do they have weaker forces? And If I am wrong, what is the answer? Google has not been very helpful!
I hope you find this before the end of the evening as I may not be able to finish otherwise, and I really don't want you to shout at me :(
